This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air sedan was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently fitted with a supercharged 408ci stroker V8, a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission, and a narrowed Ford 8.8″ rear end with a 4.56 gearset. Further modifications include Trick Flow cylinder heads, a Brian Tooley Racing camshaft, long-tube headers, and chromoly axles. The worn white and blue paint was finished with a clear coat, and the interior was refreshed with black upholstery, digital instrumentation, and an aftermarket steering wheel. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and staggered American Racing wheels are equipped, and suspension components include coilovers, tubular control arms, and a four-link rear setup. This modified Bel Air is now offered with a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The car retains areas of blue and white paint, and the worn finish was applied with a clear coat under current ownership. Details include a hood ornament, chrome bumpers, hooded headlights, tinted glass, and chrome trim.
The 18″ front and 20″ rear American Racing wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires measuring 235/45 and 305/35, respectively. Braking is provided by a Wilwood four-wheel disc setup with slotted and cross-drilled rotors, and the car is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering. Suspension modifications include a Ridetech four-link rear setup, tubular control arms, and coilovers.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black with cloth inserts and fitted with lap belts. There is a front center console with cupholders, and a fire extinguisher is mounted on the transmission tunnel next to the B&M shifter.
The aftermarket steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit column and sits ahead of digital instrumentation. The odometer shows 2,500 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 408ci stroker V8 was installed in 2022 and equipped with an LSA supercharger kit. Additional components reportedly include the following:
- ARP hardware
- Trick Flow Fast As Cast cylinder heads
- Brian Tooley Racing camshaft
- Chromoly pushrods
- Dual valve springs
- Melling oil pump
- 102mm throttle body
- Long-tube headers and 3″ exhaust
The battery has been relocated to the trunk.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed Ford 8.8″ rear end with chromoly axles and a 4.56 gear set. The seller also states that a revised clutch kit and driveshaft are fitted.
