1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop is powered by an LS1 5.7L V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in gray and coral over matching upholstery. A refurbishment completed under prior ownership in May 2005 included repainting the body, retrimming the interior, and installing the engine, a Paul Newman chassis with Corvette suspension components, Nomad rear bumper, and Buick taillights. Equipment includes Corvette staggered-diameter wheels, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, a power-adjustable front bench seat, power windows, aftermarket gauges, and a Pioneer stereo. This Bel Air was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 and is now offered with images from the refurbishment and a clean Oregon title.

The body is finished coral and shadow gray and was repainted using two-stage PPG paint as part of the refurbishment completed in 2005. Features include a hood ornament, a driver-side mirror, a dual-exit exhaust, and brightwork on the bumpers, window surrounds, side moldings, and grille. A Chevrolet Nomad-sourced rear bumper is installed along with Buick taillights.

Staggered-diameter 17″ and 18″ Corvette wheels wear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires measuring 245/45 up front and 275/70 out back. A Paul Newman chassis has been installed and features Corvette independent suspension components at each corner along with power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and power steering.

The front and rear bench seats have been reupholstered in coral with cloth inserts and are complemented by matching door panels, gray carpets, and a gray-painted dashboard. Features include air conditioning, power windows, a power-adjustable front bench, lap belts, and a Pioneer stereo with a fold-out screen. The seller states that Dynamat insulation has been applied to the interior floors and trunk.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts aftermarket instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges indicating fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates under 9k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The LS1 5.7L V8 was installed as part of the refurbishment, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator has been fitted.
