This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door sedan is finished in red over black upholstery and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was acquired by the seller in 2018, reportedly following the completion of a refurbishment by the prior owner. Modifications include an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, a dual exhaust system, front disc brakes, QA1 coilovers, lowering spindles, rear lowering blocks, front bucket seats, a Hurst shifter, an air conditioning system, and a Bluetooth stereo. This Bel Air is offered with a car cover, service records from current ownership, and a clean Indiana title.
The car is finished in red and is said to have been repainted in 2017. Features include a smooth front bumper, dual side mirrors, and taillights sourced from a 1956 Buick. A crack in the paint on the rear valance is shown in the gallery below.
Black-painted 15″ steel wheels wear bright hubcaps and are wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires. Braking is handled by power assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car is said to be equipped with QA1 coilovers, tubular control arms, lowering spindles, and 3″ rear lowering blocks. The rear brakes were serviced and the pedal rod was modified in 2019.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include a Vintage Air A/C system, a Bluetooth stereo, a floor-mounted Hurst shifter, and front lap belts. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and is equipped with a cut-off switch. The panel clips on the left B-pillar were replaced in April 2022. The right front and left rear door handles were repaired, a horn button was installed on the dashboard, and the clock was replaced in 2019.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames an aftermarket instrument panel with a Dolphin 140-mph speedometer and gauges displaying fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. The speedometer drive gear was replaced in 2019. The six-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
