This 1955 Chevrolet 150 Handyman station wagon is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The seller purchased the car out of Texas in 2005 and modified it between 2020 and 2023. In addition to installing the engine and transmission, work included repainting the body in green and fitting Mustang rack-and-pinion steering, a Ridetech StreetGrip suspension kit, a limited-slip rear end, aftermarket air conditioning, power windows, and a Bluetooth stereo. This Handyman is now offered with service records and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in metallic green while the previously refinished roof was left as-is. The grille was also replaced. Surf and beach-themed stickers have been applied to the rear windows.
Photos of the repaint process can be found in the gallery.
Steel 15” wheels are paint-matched to the roof and wear Bridgestone Turanza tires. The build included Mustang rack-and-pinion steering, front disc brakes, and a Ridetech StreetGrip suspension kit.
The cabin is upholstered in two-tone green and features a Hurst shifter, a Con2r steering wheel, an Ididit steering column, aftermarket air conditioning, power windows, a Bluetooth stereo, and aftermarket speakers.
A Rocket Tach is installed in the driver’s sightline, and the five-digit factory odometer shows 3,400 miles.
The fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was sourced from Blueprint engines and installed in 2023. An aluminum radiator was also installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission and limited-slip Ford 9″ rear end. A 24-gallon aluminum fuel tank is also installed.
